Back in the olden days of 2003, I was almost named Jude, but into the world I came as Noah. From that day on, I felt a tension between who I was and who I could be. An avid reader and a crayon enthusiast. A deep thinker and a sculptor of puddy. Both a creative and an academic, I became fascinated by the world of graphic design in high school— a field so thoroughly steeped in research while externally showcasing impressive visuals, where duality meant margin. It meant space to become.
I’m a designer who believes in becoming: a design can become a cultural icon; a problem can become solved; history can become modern; a company can become a brand; a campaign can become lives changed. Noah can become Noah Jude, a designer that believes deeply in the in-between and the wandering.
That’s how I became Noah Jude: a deep, profound belief that we have not arrived; that the goodness of life is found, not in the arrival, but in the becoming.
