Liturgy & The Pacific Northwest
A passion project focused on memorializing travel through the written word and captured photo, Liturgy & The Pacific NorthWest is the second installment in the series. It focuses on encouraging the Christian in seeing the Kingdom of God as they travel through spots in the Pacific NorthWest, offering suggestions and encouragements through the prayers and photos.
An excerpt from A Liturgy for Time Zones and Over-Caffeination
“So as the arches of my feet relax after a day of walking,
as my body begins to grow weary,
let me accept the grace of fatigue,
and fall into the security of sleep
where my trust finds its rightful place in You.
And as my body stirs to the sun rising in the sky,
may I find joy in the rejuvenation of my person,
the consumption of coffee not for function and need,
but for the pleasure and enjoyment of taste.
May the ebbs and flows
of energy and lack thereof
be not a catalyst of kicking and screaming for more,
but a kind signal that we were made for limitation—
to walk in the cool of the day with the Father,
and rest in the quiet of night in His shadow.”
