Poisoned Trust

The Ask

In September 1972, 7 people were killed across the Chicago area. The culprit: laced Tylenol. Poisoned Trust is a museum exhibit concept that seeks to communicate the panic and fear as the citizenry wondered who, if anyone, was safe. The exhibit needed a strong visual and verbal story to showcase and honor the tragic events of 1972.

My Role

Working in tandem with Victoria Erdmann, I worked to develop brand concepts that expressed the emotional weight and drama of the exhibit. Following the creation of that identity, we worked towards creating 2 key internal walls that encouraged the viewer to question “What’s the Connection?” and “Who’s Safe?” Further, we created hanging posters and an interactive wall of Tylenol where, using the provided handout, participants can select a bottle and discover later whether it was laced or safe. Finally, we created an external advertisement to peak interest for the exhibit.
